Star Wars 7 released thanks to Disney?

This is breaking news, Disney has bought Lucasfilm ltd. for $4.05 billion. I've never been a big fan of the Star Wars series, and with the seventh movie scheduled to be released in 2015, I don't think I will be any time soon. With the release date being so far away, I think it allows the media to create obscure rumours about the production and the cast. Whether or not 3D Technology is being included in the new film is already sparking conversations with the recent re-release of "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace". Of course the new Star Wars film would be filmed with 3D technology, instead of editing the original content which is what happened with the re-release.

As for Lucas' other film franchises such as Indiana Jones, there has not been any reports on Disneys' decision to further this or any other series originally under Lucasfilm ltd.

While reading the full press release published by Disney, I stumbled across something that makes me wonder about how long the deal has been in the air.

The press release read: "The acquisition combines two highly compatible family entertainment brands, and strengthens the long-standing beneficial relationship between them that already includes successful integration of Star Wars content into Disney theme parks in Anaheim, Orlando, Paris and Tokyo".

Everyone already knew about the Star Wars featured in the Disney theme parks but did anyone foresee the merging of the two? People have been linking posts containing predictions all around forums, but seem to be too accurate for anyone to believe and has got people thinking that date tampering on the posts have taken place.
